About IELTS and IELTS Coach Teens online
What if my teen turns 18 during the course?
Students must be aged 16 or 17 for the entire duration of the course - from the start date to the final class. If your teen will turn 18 before the course ends, they are not eligible to enrol in IELTS Coach Teens. In this case, we recommend waiting until they turn 18 and joining our IELTS Coach adult course, which offers flexible scheduling and the same expert IELTS preparation.
Who is IELTS Coach online for Teens for?
IELTS Coach online for Teens is designed for young learners aged 16–17 who are preparing for the IELTS Academic or General Training test. It’s ideal for students applying to university or needing an IELTS score for study abroad. Please note: students must remain aged 16 or 17 for the entire duration of the course. If your teen will turn 18 before the course ends, they are not eligible to enrol and should join our IELTS Coach adult course instead once they turn 18 years old.
How do I raise a safeguarding concern?
If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a young person on our course, please contact us immediately at [safeguarding email]. You can also read our full safeguarding policy on our Safeguarding page.
What if my teen misses a class?
Because the course follows a fixed timetable, we strongly encourage attendance at every session. If a class is missed, pre- and post-class exercises are still available. Please contact us to discuss options if your teen needs to miss multiple sessions.
Are mock tests included?
Yes. The All Skills course includes 4 mock tests (private and group). The Speaking & Writing and Holiday Intensive courses each include 2 mock tests. Mock tests cover listening and reading under timed, test-like conditions.
How is this different from the adult IELTS Coach course?
The Teens course uses a fixed cohort model: your teen follows a set timetable and syllabus with the same group and teacher throughout. The adult course offers flexible scheduling and self-managed booking. The Teens course also includes enhanced safeguarding measures and requires parental consent.
Will my teen be in a class with adults?
No. IELTS Coach Teens classes are exclusively for students aged 16–17. Your teen will not be placed in a group with adult learners.
